World Health Summit 2015: ReWalk Robotics as a finalist at ‘Startup Track’
ReWalk presents the latest exoskeleton technology for spinal cord injured community at international conference
BERLIN, 12. October 2015 – ReWalk Robotics Ltd. (Nasdaq: RWLK), the leading global exoskeleton manufacturer, was selected as a finalist for the ‘Startup Track’ at this year’s World Health Summit (WHS). WHS will be held at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin from October 11-13, with more than 1,000 renowned leaders from academics, business, politics and civil society, coming together to find solutions for the most pressing global health issues. This year, the summit also includes a ‘Startup Track’ platform which offers young, international companies in the health sector the opportunity to pitch their innovative ideas in front of a large audience and a top-notch jury. The event takes place under the umbrella of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Israel and Germany.
Newest exoskeleton technology for paraplegic patients
With ReWalk Personal 6.0 the company offers those in the spinal cord injured community the most functional exoskeleton system with the fastest walking speed and the most precise fit, among many other key benefits. The ReWalk Personal 6.0 is the latest version of the only FDA cleared exoskeleton, which can be used at home and in the community. ReWalker Christine Burger will demonstrate the new ReWalk 6.0 Exoskeleton in all areas throughout the convention. “Thanks to ReWalk I can walk again, even though I’m paraplegic. In the truest sense of the word, it lifted my life back on par with the one I used to know. It made my life not only easier by proving me with more mobility, it also improved my health enormously”, says Crhistine Burger.
“Like other industries, the health sector has long been influenced by digitized technologies. Our system is the best example for the advantages that personalized software in assistive robots have to offer and help patients in improving their health”, says Larry Jasinski, ReWalk Robotics’ CEO. “The Startup Track opens up an important opportunity for us to make contacts with leading international actors in the health industry. We are proud that we will present our innovative technology to such a renowned audience.”
