ReWalk Wins 2014 Hermes Innovation Award

ARGO Medical Technologies is pleased to announce the ReWalk exoskeleton system has been honored with the 2014 Hermes Innovation Award in the “improvement of the human condition” category.

Paris, France June 09. 2014 — Argo Medical Technologies is pleased to announce the ReWalk exoskeleton system has been honored with the 2014 Hermes Innovation Award in the “improvement of the human condition” category.

Larry Jasinski, CEO of Argo Medical Technologies, will accept the prize on behalf of ReWalk during the 7th National Meeting of Chief Innovation Officers held in Paris, on June 17.

“We are very proud to receive this prestigious award, which recognizes the ReWalk and the amazing technological breakthrough of this exoskeleton system,” Jasinski said. “The ReWalk is changing lives around the world, and a platform like the Hermes Awards will help us to amplify our message and bring this revolutionary technology to more users.”

The Hermes Awards, given by the European Institute for Creative Strategies and Innovation, honor companies and organizations whose innovative ideas and products help advance society. The jury recognized the exceptional technological breakthrough the ReWalk exoskeleton system is bringing to the market place, meeting the demand from users and helping change people’s lives.

ReWalk is a robotic exoskeleton that provides powered hip and knee motion to enable individuals with lower-limb disabilities, such as paraplegia, to stand upright and to walk. It provides individuals with user-initiated mobility through the integration of a wearable brace support, a computer-based control system and motion sensors. The company offers two products: the ReWalk Personal and the ReWalk Rehabilitation wearable robotic systems.
The ReWalk Personal System is designed for everyday use by individuals at home and in their communities, and is currently being used in Europe, Israel and other countries. The ReWalk Rehabilitation system is used in the clinical rehabilitation environment, where it provides valuable means of exercise and therapy as well as a training base for users to obtain their Personal system. The ReWalk Rehabilitation system is used in top rehabilitation centers and clinics as well as VA hospitals across the nation, in addition to being used in rehabilitation centers internationally.
